| Three years ago some friends of mine moved to an apartment that was more of a community than just a regular old complex. They made friends with a sheriff, who became an aquaintance of mine. In the summer months his daily driver was a brown metal fleck 1973 Bradley GT. The engine had most of the performance options available to upgrade on a 1968 beetle platform. The car was nice. Having gone to large shows yearly I knew of these cars, but only came across three in the last five years. Two were basket cases. I hadn\'t seen this sheriff guy in about a year, and then ran into him at an engagement pary (not mine). Off handedly he mentioned that He was planning on selling his Bradley this spring. I asked how much, his reply was that he was hoping to get 2k for it. I asked if I could take it for a drive, I liked it and told him it was sold. I feel I did well on this deal, I know a partial history, and have a soup\'d up daily driver condition car. The car only has one flaw, I need to find a new driver side door. And for 2k I got a gawk factor that rivals \$80,000 sports cars. |
