| A friend of mine was building an Avenger GT 12, I started helping him and decided I wanted a kit car. He knew where one was. I went and looked at it. It was horrible, the body was cracked all over, there were holes in the sides, and the top was broken in three places. The chassis is a 65 beetle with new pans and a tranny. No motor. The owner was selling it for $500, I talked him down to $200 and towed it home. I have since been doing a frame off resto. I built a VW 1600cc motor from just a case, but I just found a Porsche 914 1.7L motor with 5 speed tranny, I dont know what I want to put in it.
I chopped the top off and smoothed all the body work out, I am painting it Metallic Charcoal. I glassed the headlight holes up and am goint to put projector lamps in the fenders. Have LED bars for the brake lights. Just installed a hood cowl on the rear for the external oil cooler.
I just got seats from an 88' Corvette and moved the shifter back a foot so I can reach it.
My fiancee is ready to leave me because I spend more time and money on the car than her, what should I do? Im not getting rid of the car!!!
